Introduction

Have you ever wondered why some organisms are in our world or how they affect us? Do you know the importance of mosquitoes other than to annoy us? Do worms really help keep us alive? All of these questions can be answered through the explanation of ecosystems! Ecosystems are the interactions of all organisms in an environment. Every organism relies on other organisms to stay alive. Let’s take a closer look at how they work together!

Objectives

  • represent and explain food chains
  • identify producers, consumers, decomposers, carnivores, herbivores, and omnivores
  • explain the effects of adding or removing organisms from ecosystems
